RETRAIN AROUND YOUR JOB

Transition from a beginner – with no prior coding experience – to a job-ready Software Engineer in 24 weeks on our Software Engineer programme.

We spend a lot of time asking companies what specific skills they look for and design our live, remote curriculum to include learning activities that help you master each key skill.

In this course, we will cover:

To make sure they can dedicate the required 20 hours a week to complete the course, we ask potential students to complete some prework on our platform before starting the bootcamp.

Before we do any coding, we give students a solid understanding of programming fundamentals and best practices.

Students start with front end development learning about the DOM and how to make websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React – the most in-demand front-end framework.

Our students also learn about UX, peripheral technologies and testing front-end applications.

Students learn how to use Node.js to run code for the back end, and focus on ways of dealing with asynchronous programming.

Students also learn APIs and Databases.

The final project is where students work in teams using Agile principles to get hands on with a real, green-field team project. There’s no better way to consolidate and extend your knowledge and prove what you can do.

Online learning done right

Our live, instructor led online course has been designed with students in mind.  Course instructors and your peers are just a Slack message away whenever you need extra help, so your learning doesn’t stop.

You will have lifetime access to our Learning Management System, recordings of all live lessons,
course materials, resources and be able to collaborate with one another.

Instructors

An experienced industry expert will lead the curriculum and live online lessons via our learning environment.

Coordinators

Our Coordinators ensure your experience is a positive one. Got questions? Need finance advice? They’ll guide you.

Career Coaches

You’ll have access to expert career coaches, whom you’ll work with until you start your first job.

Weekly learning schedule

Tuesday
Virtual Standup

We start each session with a virtual stand up to talk through last weeks projects. This is a great time to get to know your fellow students and helps you gain confidence in talking about your code in a similar way to that of a real working environment.

Code along and Lecture

The course instructor will talk you through a particular concept, framework or process with slides and visual aids.

Then it's over to you to code along with the instructor, ask questions and work through the problem.

Code Project & Mini Lecture

The last part of this session usually includes more code alongs and a mini lecture to make sure you understand what's been covered and have some projects to help you cement the knowledge.

FAQs

We believe that with the right motivation and determination, almost anyone can learn to code. But people are put off coding because of misconceptions and other barriers.

With a starting salary of £20,000 – £25,000 as a Junior Softwre Developer and earning potential in excess of £72,500 after 4 years, there’s never been a better time to start a new career.

No! We help you get started, so you can make sure coding is for you. The main thing we’re looking for is passion, not pre-existing coding skills. If you feel you have that, you’re ready.

Software developers are the creative minds behind computer programs. Some develop the applications that allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or another device. Others develop the underlying systems that run the devices or that control networks.

90% of jobs require IT skills today, by 2020 there will be a predicted skills shortfall representing 800,000 skilled IT jobs across the EU and an estimated 5 million new coders required worldwide by 2023.
